The More-than-Planet labs, residencies and commissions are addressing specific questions on the wider topic of cultural-environmental literacy and comparative planetary imaginary. Beside well-established European research and innovation communities in an EU Horizon framework, artists also research European environmental urgencies, yet from more creative, critical, or even controversial perspectives.

Two Deeplabs will invite artists to a series of workshops, addressing environmental questions on different locations and layers of Earth, forest and deep underground.

This residency allows artists to access to the Oulanka Research Station (FI), and to develop new work on the intersection of art, science and ecology.

Within the framework of More-than-Planet, a commissioned work will be showcased during the annual Ars Electronica Festival in Linz (AT).

Atelier21 commission consists of research on the history of low-carbon aeronautics & aerospace and the production of a chronological map and workshops.

This commission will result as a map and a printed paper journal, to be presented and distributed in various More-Than-Planet dissemination and communication contexts.
