Disnovation.org research residency
With the Post Growth / Solar Share research residency at ART2M, artistic research collective Disnovation.org (FR) has investigated solar energy in relation to global algae photosynthesis, and its circulation in the form of energy and biomass within society.
THE SOLAR SHARE. This artistic provocation seeks to estimate the orders of magnitude of new solar energy income metabolized by photosynthetic organisms at a planetary scale, a process fundamental to all planetary life.
A project by DISNOVATION.ORG — 2024... [Installation, automated spirulina cultivation, live streaming, custom softwares]

Nicolas Maigret from Disnovation.org answers questions on their research project The Solar Share, which links solar energy, cyanobacterial production and global photosynthesis.
This interview was conducted at Hackteria's Open Science Lab, Bitwäscherei, Zurich, in the framework of the June 2024 labs visits in Switzerland. Co-funded by the Archipelago: Art and Science Investigations in Times of Unstable Knowledge program, supported by Pro Helvetia, ART2M, SGMK and Awareness in Art.
In 2024 the project was co-commissioned by Hac Te with the support of the S+T+ARTS program of the European Union.
