Planetary Public Stack (renamed from Planet B) residencies

Planet B residency is conducted by Waag's Space Lab. The resident will envision an ideal place called planet B. What would happen if we were allowed to completely redesign a planet? How would we do that? What would we take with us? What would we leave behind? What social, environmental, and technological structures would we build to create an open, fair and inclusive world?

This residency was realised as the Planetary Public Stack residency that selected four projects after the Planetary Public Stack workshop series in 2023 (in collaboration with Space4Good). Space Lab at Waag and Space4Good mentored and supported the realisation of the projects.

The workshops focused on the intersection of environmental topics, space topics, combined with environmental data, in relation to planetary imaginaries, through which proposals were developed that would use satellite data/remote-sensing data to address environmental issues.

4 Research residencies.
